Details:

This is our all-in rear suspension package, designed for extreme off-road performance while maximizing everyday ride quality and drivability. The Predator Rear System delivers 14" of rear suspension travel, custom Thuren tuned King 3.0's, and reduced axle wrap, in one complete kit.

The Predator kit uses 7075 billet aluminum lower control arms. Unlike the factory design, where rear shocks attach directly to the axle housing, our design mounts the shocks to the arms, acting as trailing arms. This setup increases the motion ratio for extra rear suspension travel, and mounts the upper eye of the shocks forward just below the frame rails for a cleaner package.

With this setup, you get the same frame and axle brackets as our 4-Link Upgrade Kit. The Thuren rear 4-link design greatly reduces axle-wrap shudder by raising the Anti-Squat Instant Center, removes the torsion-bushing spring rate that resists suspension movement, and improves overall ride quality and wheel travel.

If you already have the 4-Link Upgrade and want to move to the Predator setup, you will need new lower arms, shocks, limit strap kit, and hardware. Call or email us directly and we can put together a custom order for you.

The included King 3.0 Triple Bypass rear shocks have a piggyback reservoir and three bypass tubes for position-sensitive valving. What that means is a shock that reads where it is in its travel and responds accordingly: soft through the small stuff, controlled and progressive as the hits get bigger, and heavily resistant to bottoming out at full compression.

This level of valving performs best with speed, but the larger 3.0 diameter and bypass design keep the ride composed on the street as well. This is not a dedicated race setup that rides rough on the highway or around town. It's a serious off-road system that also happens to drive great every day.

The Dual Rate Long Travel Rear Coils were designed alongside the Predator kit and are the recommended coil for this system. They offer the most rear travel while also handling loads well. The kit is compatible with any Thuren rear coil option, but the dual rates provide the most travel.

Limit straps are included and fully integrated into the kit. Though not mandatory, they protect the shocks from harsh top-out loads in aggressive off-road conditions and help keep the coil springs seated in the event of a shock or shock mount failure.

We strongly recommend running a full Thuren front suspension package with our King 3.0 Twin Tube Front Bypass shocks to complement this kit. The Predator Rear System will transform the rear of your truck, and the front needs be able to keep up. Reach out if you need front shocks or any other front end components to complete the setup.
