Our Swaybar is a softer rate than the stock unit, allowing the axle to move more independently side to side. This smooths out off camber bumps, pot holes, and even simply turning into a drive way. Includes Sway bar, Frame mounts and End links, and hardware.

Details:

  • Uses no solid joints like Heim joints or solid bushings. In this application, Heims can become noisy very early in the life-cycle, with the swaybar moving so much.
  • 6061 Billet Aluminum Swaybar Links on 0"-4" version.
  • 6 grease zerk fittings used throughout the assembly.
  • Same proven JKS Poly orbital joints as used in our other swaybar links.
  • NOTE: Some add-on steering braces may interfere with our Sway Bar. If you have one, email us a picture of your brace to verify compatibility.
  • Not recommended if you have a much higher center of gravity. For example, a slide in camper, or a heavy Roof Top Tent(RTT) equipped Overlanding build.
  • Our Active Rate Sway Bar functions great with heavy Gooseneck and 5th wheel towing, heavy weight in the bed below the top rail, or heavy weight on the bumper receiver hitch.
  • May interfere with some steering box braces, check the brace to make sure a straight bar will clear.

Thuren Active Rate Sway Bar

Installed this on my 08 Mega Cab with a three inch lift. My truck already had a steering box brace and the guys at Thuren verified through photos that their sway bar would fit. Installing the sway bar on a truck with a brace, solo, while on the ground can be a bit challenging, but I found that loosely attaching the sway bar end links to the truck first give you a pivot point, which helps. The sway bar itself is a piece of art. The welds are beautiful. The milled end links are beautiful. The ride difference just by swapping from the factory sway bar to this is profound. A few days after installing this sway bar, I upgraded my shocks to the Thuren tuned Fox 2.0's. Even though I still have cheaper coil lift springs on the front of the truck, it feels so much nicer to drive. It's as if someone turns the volume down on bumps and road defects. You cannot go wrong when you buy products from Thuren. Their team is very professional and responsive. Great company, great products. I wish I would have never purchased other company's suspension items to begin with just to save some money. They will all eventually be replaced with Thuren products. You get what you pay for. Worth every penny.

Had an issue with the sway bar clearance, emailed Casey, and had a response the next day with some insight and a simple solution to try first. With that being said don't overthink it easy install and looks killer!

Sway bar

This sway bar is a huge upgrade. It almost made as much of a difference as thurens soft ride coil springs. If you're on the fence just buy it, you won't regret it. Super easy to install also.

2006 dodge ram 2500 sway bar/ trac bar

This sway bar kit makes a drastic improvement. Definitely feel the difference when turning on uneven terrain and driving in general. Now with it paired up with the trac bar you'll say why didnt do this when first got the truck.
