I installed the 2.75” Thuren leveling kit along with Bilstein shocks on my 2018 Ram 2500 Laramie Diesel at 104,000 miles this past weekend, at home, in my driveway.
Install: overall not a terribly difficult install. It was the first time I’ve taken on this type of project and performed the majority of the work by myself. A second person would have definitely made it easier. The most difficult part was getting the axle to drop low enough to install the new coils. Would have been cake on a lift but a bit tricky with jack stands and two jacks.
Performance: I drive primarily highway and occasionally tow a 12k lb travel trailer. Initial feedback is that the truck handles way better. A much plusher ride that isn’t as jarring or stiff when going over rough roads and potholes. Can’t wait to take it off-roading!
Looks: this truck looks amazing now! No more stink-bug. I absolute love it. I’m still running stock tires but will be installing LT295x70Rx18 in a couple of weeks.
